Increases Brix Values for Bigger, Tastier Fruits
Sugar Royal improves the flavours and aromas of the end-product by increasing brix values. To fully understand brix values, it’s worth taking some time out to read our blog on the subject, but as a rough overview, they refer to the levels of dissolved sugars in a given substance. The more ‘sugary’ something is, the higher its brix value.
Higher brix values come with an array of benefits:
- Greater resistance to damage, stress and pests
- Greater resistance to pathogenic fungi and bacteria
- Faster carbohydrate production
- Higher lipid production for long-term energy storage
- Greater availability of sugars for the microbes in the rootzone
- Delivers a sweeter tasting end-product with better flavours and aromas
Contrary to poular belief, Sugar Royal doesn’t work by simply adding extra sugar to the substrate. Instead, it provokes a a certain type of plant stress, which in turn ramps up plants’ metabolisms, causing them to produce more of their own sugars; any of the sugars that are unused then get stored in fruits, making them bigger, tastier and juicier. The ramping up of plants’ metabolisms also helps them to reach harvest more quickly, shaving days off the total flowering time.
