Like the Plant Magic 70/30, the 60/40 substrate contains coconut husk sourced from India’s largest producer of premium grade coir. This natural material is treated with a calcium-magnesium solution to remove excess salts, making it inert. With its low EC, coir provides growers with complete control over the nutrient content of their plant growing environment. Coco produces a unique air to water ratio around the root network, resulting in healthier, more explosive growth.
But what makes Plant Magic 60/40 Supreme substrate extra special is its use of chemically inert clay pebbles. This is due to the pebbles’ exceptional water drainage properties. When combined with coir, the clay pebbles create the perfect balance of water and air retention in the root zone.
